My Thoughts for 2006 and Resolutions for 2007
Thursday, January 4th, 20072006 is a year where I’ve been through lots of ups and downs and I hope 2007 will be a better year for me.
New year countdown was originally planned to celebrated with Jackie and his friends but eventually they decided that they will each have their own programmes. So I spent $15.30 on cab fare from Hougang to Jurong East, watched TV for about 2 hours, had my dinner at a coffee shop in Jurong East only to find myself counting down in Hougang Mall in the end. Let’s hope someone would plan things better next year. Nevertheless, I managed to watch Chen Yiyuan from Campus Superstar, Bros from Superband and the finalists from Project Superstar2 in Hougang Mall, a blessing in disguise.
Going through 2006:
1. Spent 6 months getting over Swee Jin
2. Enrolled in PSB Academy
3. Celebrated my birthday with Ah boy, Gavin and QJ
4. Spent fun moments with Jackie – Night Safari, Chinese Garden, Sentosa, Birdpark
5. Went to the Night Safari for the very 1st time
6. Had a memorable Utopia gathering at Juju with Ah boy, Qj, Koon Long, Ah Kok, Pamela, Chae Siong, Thomas and Dawn.
7. Bought my NDS lite.
In 2007 I hope to:
1. Learn to be more tolerant
2. Be more focus on my studies
3. Finish at least 1/3 of my untouched vcds lying in my room
4. Curb unnecessary spendings
5. Own Wii
6. Spend more time with my loved ones
A Trip to the Zoo
Thursday, January 4th, 2007New Year Day was celebrated at Singapore Zoological Gardens with my family. It’s a pity that Dad and Jackie couldn’t join us on the ‘excursion”.
The last time I went to the zoo was 16 years ago when Inuka, the 1st and only polar bear born in the tropics was born. There’s currently 2 polar bears in Singapore. However, the hot climate in Singapore is unsuitable for polar bears and the bears are reported to have shown abnormal behaviour due to heat stress. ACRES (Animal Concerns Research and Education Society) has called for the Zoo to send Inuka away when his mum passes away. Inuka’s mum, Sheba at the age of 29 has way past the normal life expectancy of a polar bear of 25 and is too old to withstand the travelling.
I did not get to watch any animal show this trip but I got to see a sesame plant for the 1st time of my life. I also saw turtles mating and got to touch and feed goats for the very 1st time.
